On Sunday, February 25, 2018, former New York Giant and Super Bowl ring winner, McKenna “Bear” Pascoe will compete against the world’s top steer wrestlers for his chance at the $1 Million Dollar Bonus at RFD-TV’s The American.

Pascoe, who was born and raised in Porterville, CA, was brought up in a ranching family where he learned to rope and ride.  Coming out of high school, he was drafted by Fresno State as a tight end.  He went on to play for the NFL, and in the 2011-2012 season, Pascoe caught 4 passes for 33 yards which helped the NY Giants defeat the Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI earning him his Super Bowl ring.

Fast forward 6 years to today and the 6’5”, 265 pound aptly nicknamed Bear is preparing for a different kind of victory as he gears up to compete at this year’s The American in the steer wrestling.

And Pascoe isn’t stopping there!  He aspires to not only win The American, but also qualify for the NFR.

When asked how qualifying for the NFR would compare to competing in the Super Bowl, Pascoe replied, “It would be right up there with it, no doubt about it.  That was always a dream of mine, to play in the Super Bowl.  But to spin a steer or to throw a steer down at the Thomas & Mack, that would be awesome, too.  That’s the end goal, right there.”

RFD-TV’s The American will take place on February, 25 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.  The Pre-Show will air on Dish Network at 2 PM ET and The American will air at 3 PM ET.
